Milton Intersection Projects

This intersection was identified in the Milton Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) as a key intersection improvement. The CTP suggested that both traditional improvements such as turn lanes and signals and non-traditional improvements such as a roundabout may be appropriate for this intersection.

This project consists of public involvement, concept development, database preparation, preliminary plans, right-of-way plans, and final design construction plans for intersection improvements.

After the public involvement period and concept development, the single lane roundabout alternative was selected for intersection improvements at this location.

The preliminary schedule is to complete plans and begin right-of-way and easement acquisition in late 2011. Construction would be estimated to begin in late 2012.
